Question: What is the difference between Internet and www
INTERNET
The internet is a globally connected network system that uses TCP/IP to transmit data via various types of media. The internet is a network of global exchanges – including private, public, business, academic and government networks – connected by guided, wireless and fiber-optic technologies.
The terms internet and World Wide Web are often used interchangeably, but they are not exactly the same thing; the internet refers to the global communication system, including hardware and infrastructure, while the web is one of the services communicated over the internet.
WWW
The World Wide Web (WWW) is a network of online content that is formatted in HTML and accessed via HTTP. The term refers to all the interlinked HTML pages that can be accessed over the Internet. The World Wide Web was originally designed in 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee while he was a contractor at CERN.
The World Wide Web is most often referred to simply as “the Web.”The World Wide Web is what most people think of as the Internet. It is all the Web pages, pictures, videos and other online content that can be accessed via a Web browser. The Internet, in contrast, is the underlying network connection that allows us to send email and access the World Wide Web. The early Web was a collection of text-based sites hosted by organizations that were technically gifted enough to set up a Web server and learn
Difference between Internet and www
The Internet is a comprehensive network of computers and was conceptualized during 1969 by the ARPA or Advanced Research Projects Agency. The World Wide Web is much newer compared to the Internet and was initialized during the 1990s. The World Wide Web is a collection of web pages following the http protocol that can be accessed via the Internet from any part of the world. The http protocol is a kind of language that is used on the Internet in order to transfer data and communicate. This is an application used on the Internet and all pages that are part of the World Wide Web begin with http://www with www being an abbreviation for World Wide Web. The World Wide Web is a model for sharing information. It represents a method of accessing content through the Internet. In order to understand the true working of search engines, it is crucial to know the differences between the Internet and the World Wide Web. Search engines search websites available within the World Wide Web and not other sites located across the Internet. Search engines are essentially sites that have been computer-generated. These sites are primarily found through computer programs that are used to crawl across the World Wide Web. The World Wide Web is said to have as many as 15-30 billion pages. Pages in a search engine do not lend themselves to browsing and they can only be searched. Each search engine is a collection of millions of pages. The primary function of a search engine is to gather information about a topic or phrase searched by the user. There are two kinds of search engines, namely crawler-based and human-powered. A crawler type search engine will gather listings and results automatically while a human-powered search engine will find listings based on descriptions provided by the user. Only exact description matches are searched for. Search engines help users find specific information while directories contain a hierarchical structure of organizing database content. A directory can be dedicated to a particular geographic location or subject. Most directories are fee-based and to be added to the directory, a company will need to make a payment for it. A search engine provides quicker access to information while a directory will provide industry-relevant or niche information. Directories are also great tools to help locate information pertaining to a particular geographical location since they are categorized based on location or specific, niche subjects.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
